Regional Capitals Australia national conference: Regionalism 2.0
The second Regional Capitals Australia national conference, Regionalism 2.0, will be the site of the launch of a new report by ACELG that identifies factors that contribute to building strong, sustainable regional capitals and regions.
One of the report's principal researchers, Dr Robyn Morris, will launch the research, which brings new understanding to how local government governance and leadership can help grow regional capitals and regions.
Regional Capitals Australia aims to ensure the development of strong regional capitals are front and centre in the creation of any new policy framework that impacts the regions.
Attendees are invited to network with RCA's 26 member councils, state regional development departments and leaders in regional health, education and industry, whilst engaging in sessions ranging from regional infrastructure and communications, to trade and finance.
Delegates can channel their views, challenges and strategies that can help shape the context of future policy development for Australia's regional cities.
The conference aims to promote synergised policies at all levels of government in order to build sustainable regional capitals that are prepared for rapid rates of population growth.
