Alan Morris of UTS:CLG has been promoted to Professor. Professor Morris is an internationally recognised urban / housing studies scholar.
UTS:CLG Director Roberta Ryan said,"Those of us who have been privileged to work with Alan would agree that his commitment to social justice and impact-focused research represents the best of academic research – rigorous, honest and intended to make a difference."
Alan has recently completed a monograph on housing tenure and older people that will be available in 2016. His most recent research focus has been on long-term private renters. His publications in 2015 include:
- A Practical Introduction to In-depth Interviewing (book)
- 'Doing the ‘hard yakka’: implications of Australia’s workfare policies for disabled people' (book chapter)
- 'The residualisation of public housing and its impact on older tenants in inner-city Sydney, Australia' (journal article).
