Gabrielle Watterson is the Manager, Operations and Teaching with the Centre for Local Government. Gabrielle has gained extensive experience in business management within the tertiary education sector and in her role as Assistant Accountant in a chartered accounting firm specialising in business services and taxation. Prior to that she gained more than 15 years experience in legal firms and developed a wide range of skills in case management and working with contracts.

Gabrielle's areas of interest and expertise include optimizing business operations, particularly through people, and developing educational opportunities for the local government sector and its workforce. Gabrielle is committed to enhancing learning opportunities for the Centre's postgraduate and short course students through effective management of the teaching programs and student administration. Her professional practice is complemented by postgraduate study specialising in Organisational and Workplace Learning and Adult Education.
