This Knowledge Exchange Portal allows users to share and discuss local government resources and innovative practice. This platform is designed to facilitate the exchange of practice models and ideas between Australian local government practitioners, as well as to raise awareness about the diversity of resources available to councils to improve governance and service delivery.

“We’ve doubled our phone recycling efforts in the last year, creating battery, mobile and light bulb recycling stations in libraries, community centres and apartment blocks. This has helped us to recycle over 2,640 mobile phone handsets and batteries in the last year.
“Our new recycling stations keep dangerous waste like lead and mercury out of landfill – where toxic substances can leach into the soil and waterways."
